Free breakfast in the classroom is available at participating schools

Students will have the opportunity to receive breakfast in their classroom this fall thanks to a program funded by the Walmart Foundation to expand free breakfasts to all students. Approximately 40 Dallas ISD schools have confirmed they will participate in the program that provides students with nutritious breakfast items they can eat together at their desks prior to starting their lessons for the day.

Immigrant and refugee students new to the country

Immigrant and refugee students new to the country will register at their neighborhood school. To find out what school corresponds to the address where the student resides, visit

School Messenger

The Dallas ISD and all schools use an automated phone message system to communicate with parents and staff about important news. Schools use the system to alert parents to school events, student absences, and other important information. To ensure that they do not miss any announcements from the schools or the district, parents should make sure that their children’s records include current contact information like phone number and address.
